Title | You can't fix the default changelist |

Description | There's no way to associate a job fix with the default changelist, so that when it is submitted, the job is fixed. Instead, you have to make a numbered changelist first. |
Analysis | This problem is present in the Perforce 2000.1 release. Many alpha testers wanted to be able to associate a job fix with the default changelist. They generally work only with the default changelist and don't like the extra step of creating a numbered changelist in order to be able to associate it with a job. It is essential that this is fixed. Without ease of use, developers won't provide accurate information about the jobs they were working on and the integration won't succeed. This is Perforce job 5034. Perforce told us during a meeting in 2001-02 that this is very unlikely to change. RB 2001-03-25 |
